Reid Branding Iron

 

 

 

 

The branding iron in the pictures was my grandad, the R in the middle stands for Reid and the O around the outside stands for Oliver. He used it with paint to mark his cattle and sheep when he had them. When we eventually got our own flock of sheep he passed it onto us. We use it with red paint to mark our flock. Nice to have it kept in the family to keep the tradition alive.
