Healy/Ryan brand Crannagh, Gort

Have 2 branding irons from my farm here. The JR example dates from approx 1830s when James Ryan farmed here. James Ryan married into here in 1830s, was married twice. My grandmother married his son William and then Daniel Healy. The second example DH is my grandfathers who married into here in 1911. Townland is Crannagh, Gort (H91KVY6); possibly tenants of Gregory’s Coole park. I now farm here and live in the original thatched house built circa 1800s.
