Rosshill Cross Slab
Rosshill cross slab
Christy Cunniffe
This uninscribed limestone cross slab bears a simple cross carved with a punch. It is located to the west of Rosshill medieval parish church near Clonbur. Crosses of simple design are hard to date but a second cross slab now in the local modern parish church in Clonbur is dedicated to Mael Breannain. It is likely that both are of early-Christian date.
