This seventeenth-century mural plaque is in the external wall of Cloghanover graveyard near Headford Co. Galway. It bears a small IHS monogram and cross above the inscription. It commemorates two priests of the parish. The inscription which is carved in false relief reads:

PRAY   FOR   YE   SOVL

OF  FA  CARBRY   CAN

AVAN   VG  T?    WHO

DYED  YE  25TH  OF  SEPT

= EMBER ANNO DON 16(84)

AND  PRAY   FOR   FA

FARRILLY  WARD  AND

HIS  ANCESTORS  WHO

CAVSED  THIS  MON=

VMENT  TO  BE  MADE
