Dolan brand

The Dolan family of the Saint Clerans estate (Burke landlords) and formerly Dunsandle estate (Daly landlords) branding iron has a D with serifs or tails to distinguish it from other Dolan brands. It is 8.5″ long. They used a blue (navy) paint when branding. The letter B is mounted on a small rectangular plate which is then attached to the handle. The round handle has a circular loop at the end. The brand is still in use by John Dolan.
