The Adopt a Monument Conference was held on Friday 29th September 2023 at Tullamore Court Hotel, hosted by The Heritage Council and Abarta Heritage. We got a wonderful overview of various community projects from around the country, including Doon Fort in County Donegal and Gallows Hill Community Excavation in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. The National Monuments Service gave a presentation on The Community Monuments Fund and The Heritage Council gave advice on the Community Heritage Grants Scheme.
